About SMT

Electronic PCB board surface mount technology (Surface Mount Technology SMT), known as surface mount technology. It is a pin or short-lead surface mount components (referred to as SMC / SMD or chip components) installed on the surface of the printed circuit board (Printed Circuit Board, PCB) or other surface of the substrate, reflow soldering or dip soldering to the circuit of the welding assembly loaded with technology.

The feature of SMT:
1. High density assembly, make the electronic products smaller, light weight, about 1/10 of the chip component size and weight of traditional plug-in component, after avail of SMT, electronic products volume is reduced from 40% to 60%, weight reduced 60% to80%.
2.High reliability, improve anti-vibrant. Lower the solder joint defects.
3.High-frequency characteristics. Reduces the interference of electromagnetic and radio frequency
4.Easy to automate, improve production efficiency. Reduce costs from 30% to 50%. Saving materials, energy, equipment, manpower, and time.

To miniaturization the electronic product, previously used perforated plug-in components can’t be reduced. Electronic products more complete, no longer perforated components of the integrated circuit (IC), large-scale, highly integrated ICs, had to use surface mount components. With production in batch and production automation, factory has to a lower the cost, higher the production capability, with the superior quality products to meet customers' needs and enhance their competitive edge. The electronic revolution in science and technology is imperative to chase the international trend.
